Restaurant Hotel
At Hydro Vækerø, the outdoor area is designed as a natural extension of the canteen area—an inviting and functional space that fosters both social interaction and quiet reflection. Thoughtfully selected materials and durable furniture withstand the Norwegian climate while blending seamlessly with the surrounding architecture. Fablab Design wanted to use the colour pallet from the canteen to bring some familiarity and colour to soften the hard surface materials. Lush greenery softens the environment, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages employees to take breaks, collaborate, or simply enjoy a moment of fresh air. The result is a well-balanced outdoor space that enhances well-being and strengthens the connection between nature and modern work life.
